Privacy.
MacKenzie Lane Buyer's Advocacy (ABN 58 512 545 977) is committed to handling personal information with care and discretion, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
This page summarises MacKenzie Lane's Privacy Policy (Document B4, Version 2.0) and AI Usage Policy (Version 1.0), both effective 1 July 2026. The complete policies are available on request through the enquiry form.
Information collected
When you submit an enquiry through this website, MacKenzie Lane collects your name, contact details, service and location interests, and any other information you choose to provide. If you go on to engage MacKenzie Lane as your buyer's advocate, a broader range of information is collected under a separate Buyer's Advocacy Agreement — including identity, financial and property-preference details described below.
AML/CTF obligations
MacKenzie Lane is enrolled with AUSTRAC as a reporting entity under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006 (Cth). Clients who engage MacKenzie Lane are required to complete identity verification, including a biometric liveness and document check processed by AML Assured, and to provide source-of-funds and source-of-wealth information. AML/CTF compliance records are retained for a minimum of seven years and are subject to access restrictions, including the "tipping-off" provisions of the Act, which may prevent MacKenzie Lane from disclosing certain matters even to the client concerned.
AI use
MacKenzie Lane uses Anthropic Claude in three internal contexts: a Morning Brief summarising active work for Roberta's own review; Field Capture Analysis, a preliminary observation from property inspection photos and voice notes; and property-match scoring against a client's brief. Every AI output is reviewed by Roberta before it is relied upon, communicated to a client, or forms part of any report — no AI tool makes a recommendation about a property or communicates with clients directly. Identity documents, AML/CTF records and financial account details are never processed by these tools. If you've started a conversation with the chat widget on this website, that initial conversation is managed by an AI system (Rapport, operated by SØRCH Technologies) on behalf of MacKenzie Lane; your responses are reviewed by a member of our team, and by continuing that conversation you consent to your information being processed by that AI system in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Service providers
MacKenzie Lane uses the following technology providers, each processing information only to the extent necessary for its function: Supabase (operational platform and client portal, hosted in Australia), AML Assured (identity verification), Stripe (payment processing — MacKenzie Lane never sees card details), Resend (email delivery), Anthropic (AI-assisted internal tools, described above) and Upstash (security rate-limiting). Some of these providers are located overseas, including in the United States; MacKenzie Lane takes reasonable steps to ensure information handled by them remains consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Your choices and privacy complaints
You may ask MacKenzie Lane to access or correct information held about you, opt out of your data being processed by AI tools, or raise a privacy concern, at any time and at no charge — please use the enquiry form and note that your message relates to a privacy request; it will be reviewed personally and directly, not automatically. Access to AML/CTF-specific records may be limited where the law requires it. If you're not satisfied with MacKenzie Lane's response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
Website measurement
This website may collect limited technical and usage information — such as pages visited and browser type — to maintain security and understand website performance. This data is aggregated and is not used to identify individual visitors.
